How Drigo Began
Drigo was founded in 2019 in Ranchi, Jharkhand — a city where getting around independently was harder than it needed to be. Cab fares were unpredictable, drivers were unavailable at odd hours, and anyone wanting to take a road trip to Hundru Falls or Betla had to either own a car or negotiate with a driver for the whole day.
The founding team at Drigo India Cars Pvt Ltd saw a different future: one where verified local car owners could rent their vehicles directly to verified renters — cutting out the middlemen, keeping prices honest, and giving travellers complete freedom over their itinerary.
We started with a small fleet of hatchbacks in Lalpur, Ranchi. Within months, we had hosts listing SUVs, travellers driving to Deoghar and Hazaribagh on weekends, and a growing community of people who chose self drive over cab-with-driver every time. By 2022, we expanded to Bhubaneswar — serving guests heading to Puri, Konark, and Chilika Lake. In 2024, Jamshedpur joined the platform. Today, Drigo has over 432 verified reviews with a consistent 4.8-star rating.
